Roman God Janus with Ruby
This is a beautiful one of a kind handcrafted pendant inspired by the ancient Romans. It is modeled after a real coin minted in the Roman Empire. Janus was the god of beginnings and transitions in Roman mythology, and presided over passages, doors, gates and endings, as well as in transitional periods such as from war to peace. The front side of the pendant features Janus with two faces which is how he is usually depicted. Near the bottom is a ruby set in a solid 24k gold bezel The backside of the pendant has a depiction of an axe. The bail is made with solid 24k yellow gold. The pendant comes with a complimentary chain made of silver that is oxidized to give it a darker look.
There is also the option of choosing a chain with a diamond clasp. That chain is made out of sterling silver. The clasp of the chain is made with silver, is gold plated, decorated with tiny diamonds and is two sided.
