Byzantine Emperor Theodosius II with Diamond
$320
This is a beautiful one of a kind handcrafted pendant inspired by Byzantine coinage. It is modeled after a real coin minted in Constantinople in the 5th century AD in honor Emperor Theodosius II. Emperor from 408 to 450, Theodosius II was a gentle, scholarly, easily dominated man who allowed his government to be run by a succession of relatives and ministers. On the front of the pendant is the draped and cuirassed bust head of Emperor Theodosius II with a pearl diademed. It also features a beautiful round cut diamond set in a solid 24k gold bezel. The backside of the pendant has a depiction of the nimbate emperor holding a globe in his left hand with his right arm raised. The bail is made with solid 24k yellow gold.
There is also the option of choosing a chain with a diamond clasp. That chain is made out of sterling silver. The clasp of the chain is made with gold plated silver, is decorated with tiny diamonds and is two sided.
